Wildlife in and around Duthil.

Just spent a wonderous time watching red sqirrels feeding and playing around the garden.

The variety of wildlife is vast, with sqirrels, capercallie, heron and deer abundant on the doorstep. In addition if you travel a few miles towards the Cairngorms the list is as long as your arm. No other place in Scotland has a more varied and abundance of wildlife, and all this is free of charge when you become familiar with the area and where to look.

Take time to come and spend your life in a cornucopia of all that is good in wildlife!

Great sport. The Scottish Open Golf.

There is plenty to do in and around the area.Last week was at the Scottish Open watching and meeting the geat and the good of the golf world.

Such famous names as Mickelson,Els,Donald and Montgomerie graced Castle Stuart outside Inverness with their presence, and despite the weather a fabulous tournament took place. Was lucky to attend the first day's play, and spent all day following the famous names above. Great corporate hospitality in the top tent, and came away totally satisfied with everything.

The course record was broken twice, and the eventual winner took home £650k for his efforts!!!

Watch the video as the braes of Duthil call to you...

That noise you can hear in the background - save for the talking - is a bit of a wind rippling round the camera. Unfortunately no willing camera-man was available for filming...

Duthil - a lush hamlet and prime development site

Hidden in the Cairngorm National Park, a few miles North of Carrbridge and just a little shy of Dulnain Bridge, Duthil provides a rare opportunity for a fantastic development.

Look beyond the grassy hillocks and existing steading buildings to the potential of 1.25 acres of rare real estate in the heart of the Highlands. Full Planning Permission exists for up to three houses and the demolision of the steading buildings - but maybe a spacious paddock is more up your street or a conversion?

The area enjoys magnificent views across the Spey Valley; peaceful solitude if that's what you want, or a host of local activities and attractions for a bit more adventure.
